Political Representation

The Justice and Prosperity Party (JPP) is a political voice for decendants of formally enslaved populations in US terrirories and beyond advocating for economic justice, economic policy to achieve its mission of economic self-sufficiency, self-determination, and economic independence.

Justice and Accountability

We support immediate justice for past and present injustices, including accountability for those responsible for perpetuating oppression and reparations for those who have been harmed.

Economic Empowerment Fund

Our funding priorities include supporting entrepreneurship, promoting economic diversification, and ensuring access to resources such as direct investment, grants, and microfinance. We prioritize community empowerment, education, and capacity building.

Slavery
This historical practice forcibly enslaved millions of Africans who were transported to the Americas and other parts of the world. Slavery not only deprived individuals of their freedom but also subjected them to brutal conditions and denied them basic human rights. The legacy of slavery includes generational trauma, economic disparities, and ongoing racial inequalities.

Systemic Discrimination
This encompasses institutionalized practices and policies that perpetuate unequal treatment based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or other characteristics. Examples include Jim Crow laws in the United States, apartheid in South Africa, and discriminatory policies in various countries that continue to marginalize certain groups.
Colonization
Colonization involved the establishment of European control over indigenous lands and populations across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania. Colonizers often exploited natural resources, disrupted traditional societies, and imposed cultural domination, resulting in long-term social and economic consequences for indigenous peoples.

Political Representation

Garvey believed in political autonomy the need for black political leadership and governance. He argued that black people should govern themselves and establish political structures that serve their interests, free from white colonial rule and oppression.


Economic Self-Reliance

Garvey promoted self-reliance, urging black people to depend on their resources and abilities. He believed that by building their economic power, black people could gain respect and equality and avoid exploitation and dependency on others.
